Link Builder

Links are the best way to quickly share your form. A Link can Create or Update a record in Salesforce by using your previously built forms.

Once you have your form created, you can follow the below steps to create a link for it.

  • Navigate to Native Forms on your Salesforce App Launcher.
  • Select The Links Tab from the app.
  • Click the new button.
  • Follow the wizard to create your link.

You can update a link by:

  • Navigate to Native Forms on your Salesforce App Launcher.
  • Select The Links Tab from the app.
  • Select the link you want to update
  • On the summary page click the edit pencil next to what you are looking to change.
  • Follow the wizard to create your link.

The Publish/Unpublish button on your link edit page gives you the ability to choose when to make a link available or when not to without having to delete the record.

Passing a record Id

Each link requires a source recordId that will depend on what you are trying to accomplish.

  • Updating a record
Choose this option if you are looking to update a specific record. The link must include the record Id of the record you are looking to create.
  • Create a child record
Choose this option if you are looking to create a child record from a source object. For example Creating a Case as a child of an Account. The record Id in the link must be the parent record.
  • Create or update a parent record
Choose this option if you are looking to create or update a parent record. For example I would like to update a record on a lookup field. If the lookup field is empty the record will be created and the lookup field will get populated. If the lookup field is not empty the record will be updated by the form.
